... anybody else who are in the same situation?

Hello! :)
I am 36 year old, and in july 2008 I started again on PKU diet, and now also gluten-free diet.

(Sorry my spelling mistake, I am from Norway and my English writing is bad, I hope that you understand me! :S )

I haven’t been on a diet for 10 years, but it is not so difficult to start on it again, but I feel the gluten-free diet make it more difficult. I have mild pku, I get back to the diet because I noticed I was becoming more and more tired, more difficult to focused etc. And my metabolism become lover and difficult to find correct dose of medicine, but when I started on diet I get better and better, and no have my metabolism stabilize also. When I get on diet, only then I understand how bad I have been, so no I am so much better! From now on I don't want to go back to the food's I was eating before. :) I am wondering if there is anybody else who are in the same situation?

Hi How interesting PKU and gluten intolerance? Most LP products you probably won't be able to eat right. I do get really fatique after eating certain foods. Good luck with the diet and have a great christmas.

Well I am not in the same situation as you but in similar I think. I was diagnosed with PKU at the age of 10 and after turning 18 I had very relaxed diet which I found wasn`t too good for me. I had the same problems as you mentioned. Getting back on diet is very hard especially at the begining with time it gets easier. If you want PM me.
