Hi Joni;

Good to read things are well and on track :) I think most would like to see a picture so upload it if you can. Looks they were really out to get you with the blood, are you sure you did not go to a bloodbank instead ? ;)

Yea Paul I agree with you. I was actually really sick after they took my blood. I had to go get something to eat and drink afterwards. I will try to put my picture of my ultrasound on there today for you guys!!

Thanks for all the support to everyone. It is what is helping me get through this!!

Kelli I missed you calling you yesterday! I got a calling card now so I might call you :)

It is all part of prenatal. I think usually when you get your prenatal lab done there is about 7-8 viles as they have to do a bunch of screenings.

Yikes, how can you guys stand having that much blood taken?! I remember once I had to have like only maybe 3 viles taken and I passed out, but that might have something to do with the fact that I was only like 8 and the size of a 5 year old.

Yeah I still am, I got my shortness from my mom and my light weightness (if that's a word ;)) from my dad, plus I was a premmie baby by like a month. I've always been super tiny, I'm 15 and like 5'1 and maybe 95lbs? Something crazy tiny like that...

Ya know I do not do well with blood being taken. I have learned I have to look away and take deep breaths. I thought yesterday I was going to pass out though seeing all those viles of blood. But I just try to not look or pay attention to what the lab tech is doing!

Joni

I am so happy to hear that your baby is ok and everything is okay now. :)
As for that blood taking gosh... I am speechless... . I have not much blood I hardly pass the lowest limit and can`t imagine having so much blood taken.
Hope all results will be OK.

Aaron

Good luck with your blood test.

I e-mailed my PKU doctor about the Quantitive Amino Acid test done and she told me that it can NOT be done by a finger poke, it has to be done through a vein, so on Monday I am calling the hospital who took the blood and going to get them straight. I am not paying for a blood test they did when they didn't know what they were doing and my finger didn't need to be poked!!

Yea I am very furious about all this. I am not a bit happy and the hospital will hear about it.
