Some Ideas

Hi,
I thought about some things which I wanted to discuss with you.

1st:
We could restructure the Articles-Section & Events Section, like following:

- A new user group that can create new threads @ Articles & Events-Section (which should be part of the Team)
- Then the Users can reply to the threads telling their opinion / questions

~> So we have some people that look after those sections that there is always something to talk about? What do you think about this? How would you improove it?

2nd:
Creating a "PKU-Board Project" section where we can create projects we work on and publish here. Like e.g. A short explanation of PKU in every language (which is represented here by an User or even some others if we find explanations), ....

Looking forward to hear what you think about this ;)

greets GreX

RE: Some Ideas

i don tfully understand what you mean by the first suggestion I like the second idea.

I was also wondering how to talk to the new member who are registered but have never posted, is it that they arent around or dont know how. I think it would be awesome to have like 50 people talking about topic...

I try to explain the 1st Idea better :)

The Articles section should be resturcterd.
There should be an Articles & Events - Team that search the Net for new things an then post them here. -> Normal User can create no Article / Event Topics (or like in the Moment at Events only with Moderator's approve)
Normal useres can normaly answer zu those topics so that there is a discussion about it.
The advatage: We have a team that looks after Events & Articles so that there is always the newest stuff here and everyone is infomrmed without searching the whole Net ;)

@ Carrie and what do you think about the 2nd Idea?

I understand the first one now and think that it is a good idea. Maybe members can suggest articles for the team to review too. I also like the second Idea as well.

I also think having a team hunting for events/articles is a good idea. We can try, see how it works.

Hi;

Good ideas, but grexx as you should watch out for the fact that if you post these articles as being reviewed visiters might think the source is verified 100% accurate and also the content. It can be that they see the articles as being the only truth while it is just informative, Most of us have sufficient knowledge on PKU but we are not medical experts so, i think you should point that out to the visiters (as you did in the comment at the articles section).

A few practical notes/comments:
- the document size, most of the documents / articles I found on ie. medpub are more than 1 mb in size, perhaps a possible disk space issue as you told the webspace is limited.
- how to verify that you post all information on one issue, meaning all plus and cons and various views on the issue (by medical practicioners). I think we should heed for publishing half-truths on this forum.

Just a few thoughts...
